accorded Oklahoma New Mexico and
Arizona and that ho bo admitted to
tho house with full delegate's rights.
Mr. Prico was formorly a lawyer at
Perry and Pawnoc and ho was also in
Oklahoma pollt'cs. Ho presided over
tho first counol convention at Perry in
1895. and was identiQod with tho Plynn
faction of the Republican party. lie
left Oklahoma two years ago and wont
to the Klondike. Later he oponod
law ofllco at Sknguoy and ho now has
a law practice that pays him $10000 a
u year. Ha also owns a b xsinass blook
in Skaguay and ho has secured valua-
ble Alaskan mining properties.

Massachusetts today chairman of tho
committee on territories and diseuaeod
With him Alaska's shances for delegate
representation. Tho commltte on ter-
ritories will hold a mooting next Tues-
day and Mr. Knox will then call up for
consideration a bill giving Alaska a
dologate. If this bill U passed hi will
take charge of Price's claims to tho
seat and endeavor to have him admitt-
ed Delegate Dennis Flyan who is a
moraber of tho committee will also
support Prices clalmt.
Prico is about 35 years old. He has
mado a good Impression in Washing-
ton. I quit Oklahoma bccause'it got to
bo too slow." said he today. When I
left Pawnee I went to Colorado and
then to tho Klondike. I have made
money in Alaska and expect to make
Skaguay my home I was elected a
delegate in Congress by a convention
held at Juneau on October 0 which
was called by tho Chambers of Com-
merce of Juneau and Skaguay and
was composed of delegates from tho
adjoininlng districts and from the dis-
tant mining .towns of tho Yukon and
the reuotc Alaskan poninbula and al-
so tho islands of tho Aleutian arcaipc-
lsgo. I have authority to act for tho
peoplo of Alaska in tho hearings which
tho comtnlttuo on territories will hold
on tho bill granting Alaska a delegate
and-1 have credentials which will so-
cure me the sjat when it is provided."

tho committee. Ho says a majority of
tho committee will vote for a favorub-
lo report on tho Alaska bill and that
bo is confident he will get the scut.
