difficulty which began in a law suit
before Justice of tho Peace Miller.Hous-
ton was an attorney frn the case and th<?
Jennings boys, Ed. A1 and John, were
•mploytd on the other side. A dispute
over a point in law came up, in which
the lie was patted and guns drawn.
Frltndly interposition a folded blood-
shed. About 9 o'clock thai night the
parties met in the Cabined «pl*m and
after a few words the Jennings boys
opened fire Mr. Houston responded
and was assisted In his det*mee by Mr.
Love. Six-shooters were emptied and
when the smoke of the battle cleared
