Description: Photograph of dixie crimson clover planted in the fall of 1947. There was a good seed crop produced in the spring of 1948 but no seeds were harvested. The crop was harvested in the spring of 1949 producing about 126 pounds per acre. The crop had fallen down when the picture was made on May 6, 1949. The crop was windrowed and combined on May 18, 1949. The clover was fertilized with 200 pounds of 20 % superphosphate per acre at the time of the planting. Group 5, B.L. TX-45-506.

Description: Photograph of Texas 46 Improved Rescue grass seed, which was planted in 3 ft. rows in the Fall of 1948. The average height of the grass is 3 1/2 ft. The yield of seed was about 600 pounds per acre. Group 5 B. L. TX. 45-505.
