Description: Photograph of a view of VII-25c-Oh land which was changed from a non-productive pasture to a lush pasture within 120 days. Brush was removed, pond constructed, and NK-37 Bermuda grass was seeded, fertilized and overseeded with Kobe longgrass. Floyd Ramsey, SCS aide and W.J. Fowler are discussing the conservation practices applied. Ramsey is ranch manager. OK-928-10.

Farming Equipment and Methods

Description: Photograph of a close-up of the new type of harrow plow being used by H. J. Becker. Note the crankshaft on the end of the frame. The harrow goes in circular motions making about a one-fourth turn and leaves straw evenly distributed over the field. Bunches of straw are eliminated thereby improving drilling operations. OK-929-3.

NK-37 Bermuda grass was planted during the last week in May, 1959, using 1 ¾ pounds seed and 200 lbs. of 10-20-10 fertilizer per acre. Soil unit 25c-OH. This pasture was changed from non-production to a lush pasture within 120 days by proper land use. OK-928-9.
