Cover Crop

Description: Photograph of a closeup of drill operated by Linden for Dale McClain to seed rye for winter cover in cottonland. The shields for tractor wheels were made from barrels and are hinged for rearward movement when striking the ground to prevent damage. The shields on the drill over the row pull the cotton limbs in to protect them from the disks. Drill wheels have been removed. The drill is carried on a three-point hookup.
