Boggy Flats

Description: Photograph looking north of junction in road to Cut-throat Cap and Sugar Creek Spring. During drought period of 1953-56 this area was dominated by short grasses. Note the present vegetation containing a high percentage of little bluestem resulting from good management coupled with favorable climatic period. Description: Photograph of Grama Lake. Fore-ground on right is hilly stony site, on left-loamy prairie site, excellent condition. Back ground-dark areaas with deep soil & tall grass. Light areas have very shallow soil and blue stem grama is dominate. The lake has been lowered to maintain water in streams and lakes in recreaton pasture.
