Caption: "Old Outpost, When this old Army outpost was established on the bank of the North Canadian River in 1879 near the present town of Canton, its purpose was to provide protection to settlers form Cheyenne Indian attacks. The structure, now restored, belongs to the Cheyenne-Arapaho tribes and overlooks Canton Lake."
