Description:
Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma Times newspaper. Caption: "Del City's Ingenuity Saves -- Salt and sand spreaders don't come cheap, except at the Del City garage. Normally, such a machine would cost a city anywhere from $3,000 to $5,000 if bought new. Del City's public works director, George Williams, along with Leon Broughton and Irving Gates, built their City's spreader using spare materials lying around the Del City garage."
