The grass is waist high and has made excellent growth. The grass had excellent possibilities for seed production but an early November freeze caught the grass before the seed were sod [?]. Description: Photograph of L. L. Loftin, Soil Conservation Service [SCS] Technician, stands in excellent growth of common & Autauga crimson clover and sericea lespedeza. Seeded to sericea in 1947 and fertilized with 300 pounds of 4-8-4 fertilizer. Phosphated in the spring of 1949 with 400 pounds of superphosphate. Seeded to 5 pounds of Artauga and 15 pounds of common crimson clover in October, 1949. The sericea does not appear to be damaged. Soil Unit 6-UC. LA-61-871.
