This is the date of the scheduled opening of the $1,250,000 Wedgewood Village, successor to the smaller Wedgewood park. The new 30-acre amusement center is under construction at Northwewst highway and Tulsa. The old park was just north of the Northwest highway-May avenue traffic circle. Under construction is the intial $750,000 development on the park, which includes a huge Olympic swimming pool and an all-purpose main building. The swimming pool is "one of the largest in this area." One hundred and 64 feet long by 60 feet wide, it will be able to accomodate 1,000 swimmers simultaneously. The main building will be 412 feet long and 25 feet wide and will house a restaurant, bathhouse, penny arcade and offices.......Owner of the park is Maurice G. Woods and manager id Bill Bishop. Jess Self is in charge of promotion."
