Overturned an Auto
While driving into town Fii-
lay night, Rufe Hipp had the
liafortune to run his car off into
ditch, turning it over am
tilling all the passengers into
lake of water. The paaaeng-
rs consisted of himself, wife
ind children and Mrs. Tom Har-
ris. All escaped injury except
Mrs. Harris, who was consider
ibly bruised up.
A very pleasant afternoon was
spent at the home of Mra. W. G.
Carroll, when the Women's Aux-
iliary met for their leaaon on
Japan. Mrs.C. B.Carroll led.
The 17th being the date, most
delicious refreshments were
served, which would have pleas-
ed St. Patrick himself, could he
have been present—angel food
eake with green icing , jello with
green cherries and cocoa.
Editor Wingo and family, of
the Mt. View Times, were sight-
seeing in Gotebo this week and
called on the Gazette.
