money scarce, and that's why The
Herald is going to make you a pro-
position. There are hundreds of our
subscribers who are in arrears with
their subscriptions. We never made
any great effort to collect these sub-
scriptions last fall, because there were
hard times then. We have let your
accounts run now until we have on
our books almost $2000 due on sub-
scriptions. If every one who owes us
would come in and pay 50 cents, it
would be a great aid to us in sending
you the paper. You can do that and
you will not miss that small amount,
and the aggregate to us would be
worth using. We actually need the
money. We have never grumbled,
and have ben lenient with our patrons
