MACHINE MAKES NOODLES
Complete Llttlo Manufacturing Plant
in Italy That Will Cut the Qooda
"To Order.'*
A noodle machine is a complete lit-
tle manufacturing plant In itaolf, and
will turn out In u short time noodles
onouRh to supply the town. It can be
operated by hand or by mechanical
power. It requires only about one-
eighth of a horsepower to run the
larger-sized machine.
The machine can be adjusted In a
second so ao to cut the noodles differ-
ent sizes, from the width of a thread
up to half an inch. Although a small
machine, Jt Is mighty in th*> work It
performs. It may be placed whero
customers can seu it, and the noodles
"cut to order."
Contrary to general supposition,
noodles are also utt-d for dishes other
than soup. Noodle soup }n Itself,
however, Is a dish rellahi d by nearly
everybody regardless of nationality,
'lhe noodles must, of course, first be
boiled by the housewife, after which
they may be served in various ways.
The Germans often serve noodle*
with German prunes. Noodles may
also bo Ecryed with milk Bcasoped to
suit the tasto with talt and butter.
They may be served with chili. The
Italians tuke tho cooked noodles, add
toaaoned tomatoes and bake for half
an hour. Noodles make an excellent
dessert by pouring melted butter over
them and adding chopped nutu or
fruit.—Baker's Weekly.
