• Let Them howl
The May Record consumed
about four columns of space last
week misrepresenting the Witch-
er meetings in the county and a
desperate effort to squirt a little
enthusiasm into the kumrads.
The very first statement he
made was false as was nearly
every other statement in the en-
tire four columns. He said that
a political ring in Buffalo com-
posed of both democrats and re-
publicans dug up $150.00 to have
Witcher come to Harper County,
when the facts are these, tha^
the democrats of Harper county
had Mr. Witcher com? and the
democrats paid him. Not a sin-
gle republican was asked for a
cent to pay the expenses, how-
ever many of them would have
been glad to have done so. We
have the list of contributors in
our possession, fifty in number,
and out of this fifty two thirds
of them are from outside of Buf-
falo, some from May, Laverne,
Rosston, Girard, Willard, Paruna
Doby, Fern, and Kibby. More
than twenty of the contributors
were farmers from over the
county. Morris’ ring has grown
larger and larger until, accord-
ing to his own statements it
takes in all the democrats and
republicans in the county. Isn’t
it queer that there are none hon-
est but socialists and that no one
dare do what even the socialists
themselves do? The socialists
have spent a hundred dollars in
the campaign in this county to
every dollar spent by the deni-
er but got the worst of it, and
now they howl. Howl on, you
coyotes, because that will be
about all you will ever be able to
do.
Morris told another falsehood
when he said that Mr. Witcher
would not debate with a woman.
How then did it happen that he
met her at Laverne and at Buf-
falo? Witcher said that he pre-
ferred to debate with a man, and
preferably a man of national
character who understood the
science and fundamentals of so-
cialism. They would not pro-
duce a man, but persisted in
hiding behind a woman because
they thought the sympathy of
the audience would be in her
favor no matter how big a failure
she might be.
Mrs. Korngold admitted her-
self from the platform that she
was not able to cope with Witch-
er, that she knew nothing of the
philosophy of socialism, that she
knew that the founders and
leaders in the party were infi-
dels and dreamers and that the
standard socialist works written
by such party heroes as Mark,
Rebel, Bax, Engalls and in fact
all others of prominence, con-
tained the destructive theories
of materialism, infidelity, and
commonism, yet MORRIS SAYS
that she gave Witcher a great
skinning.
Oh, Lord, what things some
men will stoop to do.
In our candidacy for represen-
tative we wish the votes of all
that class of people who believe
that the Good Old United States
is the greatest country in the
world; that the Stars and Stripes
is the emblem of liberty, free-
dom and justice: in development,
progress, and prosperity; and
most of all in the welfare of this
part of Oklahoma, because these
are the things we shall stand for,
if elected.
Who arc the socialist party in
Harper County. Answer: WE
Morris, Wont Work Whalen,
$8.80 Cochran and Beer Garden
Moore. Whoever you are and
whatever you do you must not
criticize these horny handed sons
of toil. If you do your red card
will be cancelled and you will be
kicked out among the capitalists.

Morris’ statement that Adams
and McKenzie apologized for
Witcher at May was also false.
Witcher did not need anyone to
apologize for him. He was ca-
