59 YEARS OF CONTINUOUS SERVICE TO THE FINEST COMMUNITY
IN OKLAHOMA
Throughout a .span of 59 years it has been the privilege
of Kelso s to serve the people of this area and a pleasant
duty to keep pace with their progressive spirit.
founded by the late James E. Kelso in the year of 1890,
Kelso s began its business history in a 20-foot front build-
ing on North Bickford avenue. In 1905 the store was moved
to the present location on South Rock Island. Continuing
to expand and progress with the growth of Canadian County,
an entire new front was completed in 1940.

Our latest addition, which we invite you to see at the
Grand Opening, is the completely new Men’s and Boys’
Shop. This new shop was created almost entirely by El Reno
craftsmen . . . even including the modern fixtures.
We wish to thank each and all of you for the great part
you have had in jnaking our 59 years of merchandising a
success. We sincerely feel that our progress and expansion
would never have been possible without the aid and support
of the fine people of this trade territory.
We pledge now our continuation of the policies and
business methods which have won your goodwill through-
out the past six decades and promise our future efforts will
be dedicated to the growth and well-being of the splendid
