PHYSICAL FITNESS IS

One of the most vital necessities in
building the youths of our nation is
“Physical Fitness.” The strong,

Cardui, the woman’s

she writes: "I had a
general breaking-down
of my health. I was in
bed for weeks, unable to
get up. I had such a
weakness and dizziness,
.. . and the pains were
very severe. A friend
to i me I had tried every-

soon saw it was helping

I am strong and well.”
TAKE
The Woman’s Tonic
Do you feel weak, diz-
zy, worn-out? Is your
lack of good health caused
from any of the com-
plaints so common to
women? Then why not
give Cardui a trial? It
should surely do for you
what it has done for so
many thousands of other
women who suffered—it
should help you back to
health.
Ask some lady friend
who has taken Cardui.
She will tell yiju how it'
helped her. Try Cardui.

the admiration and envy of his fellow.
The first thought in building Okla-
homa should be the welfare of the
children and maturing youths, the
welfare of a growing and rising citi-
zenship, for as the father is so is the
child. The U, S, Public Health Ser-
vice under the direction of Dr. J. C.
Mahr, who was eight years state
health commissioner, and knows the
needs and understands the problems
of health of humanity, is conducting
a campaign of “Physical Fitness,”
! showing a Series of charts porttary-
ing the methods of keeping fit and
being able to face the world bravely
and battle with life’s problems suc-
cessfully. This “Keeping Fit” exhib-
| it will be shown to high school boys
j throughout the state in the next few
months under the direction of a
I thoroughly competent instructor.
The Natural Right of All
Every child and youth of the nation
| has the right to his parents’ protect-
[ ing, the right to be well born, the
right to good health—the most vital
problem of the age. Neither the sins
j of the fathe r nor the weakness of the
■ mother can abridge in any degree this
| inherent right. In this connection it
I might be stated that one of the worst
I causes of sickness is venereal dis-
j eases. They are very common—en-
| tirely too common to maintain an ef-
! ficient manpower. It is these evils
that the U. S. Public Health Service
is combatting in Oklahoma. It is a
| problem that is not generally under-
! stood, and reguires education of the
1 masses to the dangers of these dis-
eases. Since the work was inaugur-
I ated in Oklahoma under Doctor
| Mahr’s direction, great headway has
been made in eliminating and stamp-
ing out of this menace to the human
race through the establishment of
free treatment clinics at various
points in the state, and the results
are showing satisfactorily. It is
urged upon all right thinking people
that a more consistent co-operation
is needed to make the campaign a-
gainst venereal diseases a final and
outstanding success. To this end and
to the end that all humanity may
benefit, the U. S. Public Health Ser-
vice invites and urges the help and
assistance of the great public—Dr.
J. C. Mahr, State Director.
CARD OF THANKS
We wish to thank you dear friends
for your many deeds of kindness and
words of sympathy in our sorrow
when the death angel called away
our beloved wife, mother, daughter
| and sister Illanehe. May such heart-
j aches be far from you, but if such
must come, may you be surrounded
by hearts as loving, and hands as
willing, as those who were with us.
