ENDS WINTER'S TROUBLES.
To many, winter is a season of
trouble The frost-bitten toes and
fingers, chapped hands and lips, chil-
blains, cold-sores, red and rough
akins, prove this. But such troubles
fly before Bucklen's Arnica Slave. A
trial convinces. Greatest healer of

NECESSARY AMOUNT OF MONEY
WAS RAISED BY OKLAHOMA
CITY THURSDAY.
Oklahoma City, Dec. 30.—.The bill
making Oklahoma City the capital of
the State of Oklahoma was signed by
Governor Haskell Thursday evening.
The bonus of $71,200 necessary to
clear up all incident expenses was
raised late Thursday evening by the
citizens' committee. The governor
boarded the 7:10 Santa Fe train and
went to Guthrie, where he attached
his signature to the various docu-
ments. He boarded the first train
bound for Oklahoma City, arriving
here shortly after 10 o'clock. Several
of the state officers accompanied him.
The arrival of the governor was at-
tended by an impromptu celebration.
Whistles in all parts of the city wore
blown to announce the glad tidings.
A delegation of citizens was at the
train to meet the returning chief ex-
ecutive and other state officers.
When a man begins to burn his
money his friends never think of
turning in a fire alarm.
McCURTAIN'S PROBABLE SUCCES
SOR.
Kinta, Ok., Dec. 30—There Is ;
probability that W. A. Duran, slated
jby the democrats for speaker of the
I house of the Third legislature, and
| who has been for several years speak-
| er of the house of the Choctow Iegis-
| lature, will succeed the late Green
McCurtain as governor of the Choc
taw nation, the appointment being
made by the secretary of the interior.
Under the Atoka treaty between the
nation and the United States, the pre-
sident of the council succeeds to the
governorship in case of the death or
removal of the governor, the speaker
of the house being next in line. Geo.
W. Choate of Indianola is president of
the council, and it is reported he will
not accept the appointment.
Gov. Haskell, Adjutant General Can-
ton and Colonel Kirby Fitzpatrick of
the governor's staff attended the fu-
neral of Governor McCurtain Thurs-
day.
