CITIZENS
Several of our citizens are legistor
ing a bowl with Mayor Plum and the
Council as to th character of the
work beng done by the Hill Paving
Co on West Broadway. Concrete that
was placed Tuesday morning can at
this time Wednesday morning bn
dug out with your foot. The Mayor
stated to property owners that the
concrete would bn permitted to stand
for a few days and if then It was not
satisfactory would be condemned and
taken out. Wo hope that thoso in
authority will Bee that this work is
properly done that it will prove of
some material benefit to the City as
well as to the property owners who
are paying ton bill. We know the
Hill people can do good work and
have dne some fine work in Anadarko
and don't think the Company proper
would want any work alighted if
know i to them and that the trouble
is with the parties in charge tore.
The thing for the city to do s to get
one of the best men in the city as in-
spector. Dont put aume one on such
important work that isnotintererted.
Got an interested party. Protect the
people and in doing so protect the
better interests of Anadarko. Re
member the old adage that it does
noo hurt to watch an honest man and
you must watch one who la inclined
not'to do thesquaro thing.
The citizens will expect the city
officers to see that they ere fairly
dealt with and that the paving people
give to the citizens what they pay
for.

This is especially true of baking and It is Just as true of baking powder. If
you use the cheap and Big Can Kinds you are getting quantity at the sacrifice of
quality. It cannot be as good or as economical as Calumet the medium prica
kind. If you use the High Price Kind you are paying tribute to the Trust tho
quality is no batter.
