Remarkable Attraction Is Planned For
the St. Louis Exposition.

SL Louis Mo.. Sept. 4. One" of tho
primary attractions of tho St Louis
world's fair will bo a marvelous aerial
globo 700 feet high from stono baso to
roof Besides it if present plans arc
carried out tho EliTol tower and the
Ferris wheel nro crude engineering
foals.
Tho big globe will bo constructed by
a company headed by 0. F. Blanko
with a capital of $1500000. At a
height of 110 feet will be u spacious
roof garden about 1000 feet In circum-
ference. ThlB space will contain two
restaurants and two theaters.
At an altitude of 295 feet will bo
located a hugo coliseum with walks
around tiie globe giving a completo
vlow of tho grounds. Below will bo
seen two regular circus rings and a
race track. Undorneath tho scats will
bo a monagorie viewed from the cir-
cular walk.
Tho grand music hall will be 420
foot up. with numerous novel musical
attractions. At 450 feet will be on
aerial palm gardon. A completo vlow
of tho grounds may be had from
thoro. Six hundred feet up will bo tho
observation tower whoro tho weather
bureau and ' orchUght display will bo
located. Above this will bo a wheel-
houso for sixteen huse elevators cap-
ablo of carrying sixty persons each
which will carry the crowds through
tho big sphere.

It was the conductor.
" 'Sorry to disturb you doctor' he
said 'but there's a man In tho car very
sick. Won't you take n look at him?'
"'Here's n pretty fix'' thought I
'but I'll havo to make the bluff good
or forfeit Iho pass.' So I got up slip-
ped on my clothes and looked at thp
patient He was breathing heavily.
I folt his pulse solemnly measured it
by my watch and then said as though
I knew just what ailed him: 'Iff thero
any ono here who has a flask?' I had
a half dozon offers in a minute. 'Give
him two teaspoonfuls of whisky evory
ten minutes' said I 'and bathe his
head with ico water.' I know that
proscription wouldn't hurt hm any-
way. After tho first dose tho pa-
tient rallied nnd I wtw Just congratu-
lating myself whon tho conductor came
up with another passenger.
" 'Hore'n a fellow physician doctor"
he said. 'Perhaps a consultation will
be-in order.'
"I shook hands with the newcomer
and trembled in my boots. 'What havo

ly. 1 told him. 'Excellont' he said.
The patient got better and tho next
morning when we had alighted at Kan-

physician. He laughed. 'So you're
not a doctor at all oh? ho asked. Then
ho laughed again nnd looked about
him cautiously.
