(Lindsay Nfwt-)
Several days ago the editor of
the News wrote to Judge Dickenson
asking mercy for a Lindsay boy
who had fallen. Jn the letter it
was mentioned that the boy ap-
peared to have completely reformed
as he no longer frequented the
joints or kept bad company. In
reply the following letter was re-
ceived: Mr. I C. Tiillingham Lindsay
I. T. Dear Sir: Your kind letter
of the 7II1 received. Am delighted
that the good citizens of your town
take an interest in an unfortunate
boy. The government at large
the community and the family are
ail interested in our boys.
What I want to ask you is why
will the citizens of so beautiful a
city as Lindsay located in one'of
the most Ik uutif ul valleys the
writer has ever seen with all the
prospects of a floiirisiiing future
before it permit "joints gamblers
and other houses of immorality"
to exist for a sing!. May to tear
down and destroy the character of
our noble boys;to in one day almost
undo a life time's work of a good
mother? Why will goot men allow
these things to exist? Your mayor
and city oflice-rs have all the ttowcr
of federal offievrs. The conscience
of your community is no doubt a
unit 011 the question of enforcement
of law. All it needs is organiza-
tion and determination and the
boys of your town will be safe

1 . . . .
Mr. (J rover 0. Vaughn and
Miss Nellie Bradley were united
in marriage yesterday at the
horn1 of the bride in Bradley I.
T. Uev. W. T.'Cantrell said the
solemn words that united tho
lives of these young people in
the presence of a multitude of
friends and relatives. The par-
lor of the elegant Bradley home
was elaborately and beautifully
decorated for the occasion but
owing totlie large crowd present
the ceremony was performed on
the veranda. It was a glorious
day almost like May.and no two
young people ever embarked on
the matrimonial sea under more
raspicious and happy circurn
stances.
The ceremony oceured at 11
o'clock following which a splen-
did dinner was served. The
Bradleysa re famous for hospitali
ty and they outdid themselves en
this occasion. J'Aorytmng- that
could dk'li&httho palateof the epi-
cure was set before their guests
and it is needless to say that no
one left the table without doing
ample justice to the feast.
Both the bride and groom are
natives of the Chiekaiaw nation
and are prominently connected.

and Mrs. W. I. Bradley who
likewise are among the most
prominent and substantial
people in this section. She is a
a charming young-lady greatly
admired by her many friends.
The groom is a young man of
startling qualities with a bright
future. They go to housekeep-
ing at once in the home already
prepared and furnished near
the home of the groom's father.
This evening the wedding festi-
vities will be concluded at the
