""N making this move we desire for more reasons than
f I one to open the new store with as nearly as possible
an entire new stock. The reasons are that first it is
an expensive proposition to move a stock of merchandise
next it is impossible to do so without to some extent dam-
aging the goods. This injury while more apparent than
real would necessitate our selling the goods at a reduced
price which with the expense of moving would amount
to as much or more than the legitimate profit on them.
We believe it is good business policy to meet this loss in
another way in other words we intend instead of paying
out this money in moving express etc. to give our cus.
tomers the benefit of it reduce the price to a point that
clears out as nearly as possible every dollar's worth of
merchandise in our present stocks so that we will be ena-
bled to open the new store with an entire new stock.
