MT VIEW BAPTIST CHURCH
The neighborhood greatly enjoyed
the general courtesy extended by tho
Mt. View Baptist church last Sunday.
A bountiful nnd delicious basket dinner
was served on the grounds at tho noon
hour and everybody visited while feast-
ing on tho good dinner which was pre-
pared by the ladies. The morning ser-
vice was opened by singing many beau-
tiful songs. The sermon at eleven
o'clock was one which would linger in
the hearts of the listeners. There was
probably ono hundred and seventy-flve
present to witness theordalning of two
deacons Bro. McNulty and Bro. Cook
who are highly esteemed by those who
know them. A sermon of great inter-
est was delivered at two o'clock and
the day was closed by a good sermon
at eight-thirty which gladdened the
hearts of those who were present when
one of our accomplished young ladies
confessed Jesus Christ as her. Savior
presented; herself for membership
which was by the church accepted and
who is now a candidate for Baptism.
There were also two joined by letter.
May God bless Mt. View There was
a large number of ministers and dea-
cons present. Everyone departed feel-
ing the services of the day were a great
success. May Mt. View be a bright
and shining light and do good in Christ's
cause.
