A Busy Place.
One of the busiest looking places
at the present time in our city is
the site of the contemplated round
bale gin just north of the oil hou.-'e
Brick masons are busy putting
down piers and foundations for the
mammoth plant. Lumber sufficient
to start two lumberyards is on the
irround aud everv one about the
work has a strictly business husth
about him.
At Last.
We do not know whj to blame
or give the credit to for finding the
"utter on the south side of Main
street. It has been found however
a corps of men have been cleaning
it out today the odor from the ob-
noxious residue which as Hamlet
savs "smells to Heaven" is suf
ficient to give every man woman
and child in town yellow fever
black plague or any other deathly
disease. Such an accummulation
of filth on the main street of our
citv issnrdvthe index finger to the
many new mounds raised in the
cemetery during the past few
months. But times have changed
this thank God will all be remov-
ed and that at an early date and
we mav vet live to say that Ard
more is a good clean town to live
in. Keep up the good work.

Riding on Trains.
Our city laws prohibit riding on
trains about the depot and in the
yards by boys but little attention
seems to be given the matter. Only
last evening a cattle train left the
depot coins north and on one side
were counted seven boys black
and white hanging to the cars
They got off at the north end o
the yards without getting hurt but
it will only be a matter of time un
til some one gets killed or maimed
for life unless the law is put in
force.
