Our Voting Strength.
There were 863 votes cast yester-
day in the postmastershlp contest op
w 2 o'clock the hour at .which the
polls were closed. Had the voting
been continued until 6 o'clock there
would have been at least 1200 ballots
cast. This number would have in-
cluded a very light country' vote
two-thirds of which at least would
have represented the city vote. We
believe on a test Ardmore alone
would show a voting population of
1200.
Most every man woman and near-
ly all the children love coffee. -There
is good coffee and there is poor cof-
fee. Poor coffee is dear at any price.
If you want something that is really
good call on T. Y. Morgan and ask
for seme of that Mocha and Java.

deputy Marshal Everhart of Pauls
Valley name down last night bring-
ing with him Tom Hitter convicted
of the the theft of cattle under the
old law and sentenced to twelve
months in jail and to pay a fine of
S500. This case was appealed to the
supreme court and the finding of
the lower court recently affirmed.
He was re-sentenced at Pauls Valley
yesterday.
Most everybody is drinking ice tea

Badly Injured.
Capt. R. P. Kelley yesterday went
to tbe country to look after a span of
valuable horses he had in the pas
ture and one of which be found in
a very bad condition; it having been
kicked and bitten by a vicious
stallion running in the same en-
closure. He brought his animal home
and is treating the injuries.
