Correspondence. We had another
fine raiu yesterday and lat night
which almost assures a fine corn
crop.
The pronpect for an abundant
corn and cotton crop was neve- het-
ter at this season of the year than
now and most of our farmers have
their crops in fine state of cultiva-
tion and with a moderate price for
cotton our farmers will be In good
shape financially next year.
Mrs. John Robinson and her broth-
er Mr. Arnold returned yesterday
from Caddu where she has bean vis-
iting her father.
Miss Pola A polios has returned to
her home at Ardmore after a two
weeks' visit here with Dr. and Mrs.
Sc-riniKhira. Home of the young men j
look quite disconsolate since her de-
parture. Mr. Bee Kdelen returned home yes-
terday from Sherman where he has
been taking a course in Mahan's
commercial college. Bee is very
popular here and is gladly welcomed
home again.
It is whispered that there is to be
a wedding soon in the "upper tens"
of our city. We refrain from giving
names at the present.
A son of Mr. Music accidentally
shot himself in the hip yesterday
morning ' causing a very

The following is the platform of
the national party of the Creek nation
which ha's just been promulgated:
"On the 3d day of June 1895 the
national party nominated Hon.
Isparhecha for the first and Col.
Roley Mcintosh for second chief as
the standard bearers of said party
upon the following platform of prin-
ciples: We the national party pledge

Tprinciples to-wit: '
1. The preservation of our country
as a perpetual home for ourselves
and posterity by a faithful obser-
vance of the laws and treaties exist
ing between the Muscogee nation
and the United States government.
2. A strict adherence to the con-
stitution and laws of our nation by a
rigid enforcement of law against all
offenders in or out of office.
3. For the maintenance of our
national credit by retrenchment and
economy in public expenditures.
4. Shall oppose the allotment
our lands.
5. Shall resist the formation and
existence of monopolies of any char-
. acter.
6. Shall oppose the existence of
pastures and shall have them re-
moved by lawful means and prevent
the introduction of cattle into our
country.
7. Shall endeavor to repeal the
permit law and remove all non-
citizens from our nation.
8. Shall encourage the education
of our children agriculture
development of our natural
sources.
