John Jacobs tried the loop-the-

it terminated into a little one act

the exceptions a few bruises and the
foss of hide, he made a success of
his marvelous feat.

Improving Yards
The W. F. & N. W., Railroad Co..
have shipped in eighteen cars of
sand and are preparing to use it in
the yards at this point. Brinkman
is an excellent shipping point and
the railroad company is doing its
best to keep apace with this growing
little metropolis and in doing so it
keeps a large force of men busy.
Mrs. Wick Price, north of town
is among the sick this week.
Mrs. Rev. J. E. Ross is on the sick
list.
Rev. Hawkins of Mangum and
Rev. Ross of this city are holding a
protracted meeting at Hopewell of
near this city and it is said to be
very successful.
Dr. Buckmaster reports the fol-
lowing persons west of town on the
sick list: J. H. Jackson, James
Jackson, Miss Mangum and Miss
McCalpen. All are doing nicely.

Pretty Good
Rev. Stanley of this city returned
from Ozona, about nine miles north
east of town, last week, where he
has been conducting a large revival
meeting. He was very successful,
there being about 35 additions and
23 for baptism. The above was giv-
en to us too late for last week.

NEARLY 200
BALES GIN'ED
As we go to press, it is estimated
that about 200 bales of cotton have
been ginned in Brinkman this year
and most of the cotton ginned is
not for sale, the farmers holding it
for a better price.
The reports of cotton shortage in
the state is getting to be more than
an idle estimate—it is something re-
sembling truth, truth and still more
truth.
Cannot Accept
S. J. Berry received a letter Tues-
day from Rev. Campbell who was
called by the Baptist Church of this
city. Rev. Campbell says he cannot
come.
J. O. Oglesby and Otha Blakely
departed Tuesday for Hollis
to gather the fleecy staple. They
ordered the Courier before leaving.
While trying to halter a horse in
a stall last Wednesday, Marion
Stout of near Marie had the misfor-
tune to get one of his wrist bones
broken. The horse whirled and in
some manner it was broken. He
came to town and Dr. Jeter Bet the
broken members.
