Husbands, like peaches, will
not beep the year round unless
t i-y are preserved First, sp-
inet one carefully. Be sure be
is nut too green; neither should
he be overripe He might look
very tempting and mellow in the
market, but if he is too old he
will not stand the test,of the pre
nh vii it pi« cees, t ui will expose
his hard, stonv heart. Husbands
grown in the tropics of pleasuse
look very fine but are usually
insipid The borne grown are
the rjest. Select your husband
i( possible, from a family tree
growing on the sonny side of a
church. You will be sure then
that he is sound at heart. Un-
sound hu-band like unsound
peaches, often have to be sorrow
fully cast awav — Thomas Tri-
bune.

Why Discriminate.
President Wilson would not
declare where he stood on worn
au's suffrage because he said his
party has made no declaration
on the subject, and yet President
Wilson is trying to repeal the
Panama Canal Act which now
grants immunity from tolls to
coastwise shipping, notwitb
standing the fact that his party,
in the Baltimore platform, which
adopted him as a canidate de
clared for free tolls fpt- the coast
wise shipping.
If he desires to wait for the
voice of his party on equal suf
frage, why doesn't ba taka that
voice on tbia other matter?
