At Oklahoma City
An egg laying contest will be one of
the Interesting features of the big poul-
try show at the Oklahoma State Fair
Oklahoma City September 26 to Oc-
tober 7 Under the conditions out-
lined by the directors of the State Fair
each pen is to consist of six female
birds properly leg banded No male
birds allowed Id pens i
The contest will start on the open- I
Ing day of tha exposition Tuesday
September 26 and continue twelve
days or until 8 p m Saturday Oc-
tober 7 All birds entered In the con-
test will be fed and cared for by
competent assistant In charge of tbe
contest There will be no discrimina-
tion in the amount and quality of food
and under no conditions will exhibitors
be allowed to feed their birds or have
access to tbe pens At tha close of tbe
fair a complete record of egg produc-
tion of each bird and pen will be
posted to the exhibitor Premiums
range from 810 to 83 '
Poultry will be exhibited on an e-n-
larged srale at tbe Oklahoma State
! Fair this fall and the splendid buiidine
at the south end of the 160 acre tract
i of land used by the State Fair will be

Idabel has the strongest team in south-
east Oklahoma at present with the

showery cool weather the last two
weeks had given boll weevils an op-
portunity to multiply and injure cot-
ton He said however that warm
and sunny weather would check the
