and several others -A fine exhibit of
corn was made and the premiums
duly awarded officers were sleeted for
the ensuing year and all who were
fortunate enough to attend went home
with higher ideals of the farmers’ life
as well as numerous hints and sug-
gestions to help make life on the farm
more profitable and pleasant

making an extended visit in Iowa and
her many friends are very glad to i

time he has been home for several
years and everbody has a warm wel

Surgeons Are Assisted by a
Kansas City Export
During the past three days the local
surgeons have been quite busy Dr
Chas M Stetnen of the Bethany hos-
pital Kansas City came here the first
of the week to assist bis old friend Dr
VST J Omer in abdominal surgery in
the case of John T Albln Dr Moore
administered the anaesthetic It was
found tbat Mr Albin waa afflicted with
stricture of the iotestines He rallied
from the operation and the physicana
have strong hopes of ms ultimate re-
covery Mr Albin ia fueling quite
well under the circumstances
A hair lip waa removed from Mrs
Deming by Drs Stemen Cooke
Moore and the operation was success
ful ‘
Matt Langbebo of Stineton who
was taken to Bethany hospital by Dr
Omer some weeks ago haa returned
He underwent an operation for appen
dicites and was ill of pneumonia be-
ing 111 for two or three weeks Mr
Langbehn is able to walk around and
