FRIDAY’S GAME
The Hens made it three out of four
from the Springfield Midgets win-
ning the last game of the series 5
tj 2
Adkins Henryettas ace was in-
vincible in the pinches although the
Midgets collected nine bingles off him
they were unable to bunch their hits
Their two scores came in the first and
third innings the result of poor sup-
port and errors at critical moments
This is Adkins second win from the
Midgets for this series and his eigh-
teenth win of the season
Hodges started in good form bat
weakened after the second inning He
was touched up for costly bingles in
the third and fourth which netted the
Hens two runs and Cassidy stole
home in the fifth for the third score
In the seventh Adkins singled to right
and Cassidy drove out a three-bagger
I scoring Adkins and coming home him-
self on an overthrow at third Cas-
idy Thomas and Adkins were the
stars with the bat for the locals
Martin and LeCluir for the visitors

Arc You Doing Anything
To MaKe Business Better
If you are not satisfied with the present condition of your business
and your prospects for the future are you doing anything to help it or
are you drifting with the tide? You are complaining that people are not'
buying your goods — are you patronizing the other fellow or like he is
waiting for things to get cheaper? Have you ever stopped to think that if
you would end the "buyers’ strike” yourself by purchasing your reasonable
requirements — like you are expecting the other fellow to do — that business
would be much better? Not extravagant purchases but your reasonable
requirements Are you one of the crowd that is waiting for things to
come down? You think your property or merchandise is as low or lower
than it should be and that you are not getting a living wage so why should
the other fellow work -for less or sell his property cheaper? Real estate
at this time is not too high in this town and compared with other places
never has been If you are waiting for property to come down your earn-
ing capacity will have to come down with it so you will be no better off
Take the measure of the fellows that tell you property is too high that
the town and general conditions are on the bum and see if they are the
men that do things that have made this town what it is or whether it is
the men who have built here are still buying property here at prevailing
prices and who Lave confidence that we have the best town in the country
for its size
We have a number of good properties for sale on reasonable terms that
are worth the money We are also in a position to make you a loan if you
wish to buy Or if you wish to build come in and talk your plans over
with us and we can promise you a loan when your house is completed
where you get the money in a few days with no Red Tape Our Loan Com-
pany assures us that they will have plenty of money to loan all summer
We have paid out on loans in six days after application was made No
vexatious delays
We write all kinds of insurance Do you know anything about tho
Company your insurance is in? Do you know anything about their repu-
tation for prompt and satisfactory settlement? If not you had better find
out something about them before you have a loss and an unsatisfactory
settlement Come in and talk these matters over with us No charge for
information that we can give you Buy a home and cuit paying rent
