Democrat office last Saturday after-
noon for the purpose of perfecting as
organization to fight this sale of the
school lands in this state which
matter is to be voted on at the Nov-
ember election j
Judge' Foote was' chosen as temp
orary chairman of the meeting while

for and against the sale of the lands

BUSINESS CLUB
The regular meeting of the Young
Men’s Business Club took - place at
their hall Monday night Some of
the most entousisstle members 6f the
club were present and toe meeting
lasted until a late hour
Matters of great moment to the
town of Olustee and her citizens were
discussed at length such as the plac-
ing of the hitch racks in toe rear o
the busloeas houses the erecting of
sufficient watering troughs the enforc-
ing of the dog tax law etc
City Clerk Phllllpe was present
aud made a very telling talk to tbs
club The city oouneil will be Invited
to hold their next regular meeting
with toe business club as they both
meet the same night and it is very
neeessary that the two bodies get
together on several matters After
finishing up a lot of important bus-
iness the club adjourned to meet next
Monday night' at eight o’clock sharp
at which every member Is earnestly
requested ti be present
