Pipeline Connection
Is Being Made
To Dewey Field
-v
To care for the production a pipe
line connection is being made from
the Dewey township oil field to the
main line of the Oklahoma Pipe
Line Company about a mile and a
half north of the field and soon the
crude from the four wells will be
flowing to the huge refinery at
Whiting Indiana where it will be
refined
The production of the four wells—
on the Thompson Hughes Dal-
rymple and Borg farms— is holding
up well and it looks like they will
be producing for many years The
Thompson well is two and a half
years old the others being brought
in a few months later Some of
these wells are reported to be mak-
ing more oil than they did two
years ago and the Dalrymple well
has enough gas to make it flow so
that very little pumping is required
This field sure looks like a comer

Board Members
-V---
Selective Servicj officials have an-
nounced a recommendation that lo-
cal members should not individually
discuss classifications or impending
classifications vlith fregistrants
their dependents or their employ-
ers In niaking the announcement it
was pointed out that a local board
memlier as an individual can do no
more than express an opinon on
any case The registrant or snow-
one intertsted in him frequently as-
sumes that this individual opinion
has the force of a board decision
and consequent misunderstanding
develops It is believed advisable
that all matters of classification be
discussed only during an WE Cial ses-
sion of the local board when a nm-
jority of the members ore present
Persons desiring to appear before
local boards may make appoint-
ments through clerks of local board
offices Statements made at the
time of interviewing are usually re-
duced to writing and become a part
of the local hoard files In this
way new or important evidence is
always available whenever a regis-
trant's case is reviewed
It was also explained that many
local board members have been
forced to refuse to confer individ-
ually with registrants because such
practice has interfered with their
business affairs which are in no
way related to their official selective
service duties
