Dear Editor,
The Osage County HELP Workshop is currently planning the an-
nual Auction/Dinner fundraiser. The event will take place Octo-
ber 26 at the Pawhuska Elks Lodge. Chili or stew, coffee or tea and
dessert will be $4 for adults and $2 for children under 12. Dinner
will begin at 6 p.m with the auction following at 7:00.
This year we (the Board) have given the event a western "Stam-
pede" theme. We will feature a Cowboy performing rope tricks
and telling cowboy tales from the past. There is no cost for ad-
mission to the auction.
This fundraiser is our main fundraiser of the year and we rely
heavily on its outcome.
Many local merchants have donated exceptional merchandise
this year. We encourage each one of you to attend the dinner and
participate in the auction. Items up for auction will be displayed
in the window of the former Bayouth's building. New mer-
chandise will be added weekly. We hope the citizens of Osage
County will mark October 26 on their calendars and plan on
spending an evening of fun, food and fellowship.
If you would like to contribute to the auction, whether you are an
individual or a business, please contact me at 287-2429. Help is
always needed and greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
-s- Lee Craun Huneryager

offering free Oklahoma Voters
Guides. These special election
guides focus on key issues and
allow Oklahoma voters to

In this non-partisan guide,
candidates were asked to re-
spond to questions on AARP's
priority issues pertaining to
Medicare, Social Security, Tax
Reform, Long-Term Care and
Campaign Finance Reform.
Oklahoma AARP volunteer
State VOTE Coordinator, Lewis

portant for Oklahoma residents
to know the candidates' posi-
tions before voters cast their
ballots, and that's why we are
offering a free voters guide."
