SPECIAL OLYMPIC WINNER
Sonya Spencer attended the
Special Olympic State Games at
Stillwater, May 13-15. Sonya won
second place in the wheelchair race
and sixth in the softball throw.
Sonya’s mother, Zelma Spencer
and sister, Jackie Williams, ac-
companied Sonya to the games.
Jack Henley volunteered to help
Sonya while she was at the games.
Blaine Musselman attended as a
Special Olympics coach.
Musselman would like to thank all
the people who supported the
Pancake Supper held a while back,
which was the major fundraiser to
send the Special Olympians to the
regional and State games.
SENIOR CITIZENS FLASH
The Wynona Senior Citizens are
open on Wednesdays ONLY for
meals. They will have a Center open

Rickey Glen Brannan is being made

the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry
Young of Pawhuska and Mr. and
Mrs. Jim Watters of Copan. The
prospective groom is the son of Rev
and Mrs. Ron Bannan of Madill.

Assembly of God Church, Wynona,
with Rev. Ron Brannan officiating.
The future bride will be a 1987
graduate of Pawhuska High School.

Simply Beautiful Beauty Salon,
owned and operated by Donna
Choate. Her sister, Annette Hen-
derson is also an operator at the
Salon. Both ladies are graduates of
Bartlesville Vo-Tech.
The Salon offers all types of
beauty services and supplies for
men, women and children. They do
manicures, pedicures, leg waxing,
facials and makeup, nail sculp-
tures, as well as hair cuts, perms,
hairstyling, etc. They offer all types
of beauty supplies.
Customers are eligible to register
for monthly specials that will be
drawn at the end of each month.
Walk-ins are welcome.

through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and

ASSEMBLY OF GOD
CHURCH NEWS
May 13, the Wynona Assembly of
God young people gave a surprise
birthday party for Lavada Brannan,
and also presented her with a plaque
of appreciation for being their youth
leader
May 16, members of the Wynona
Assembly of God Church played a
baseball game against the Prue
Assembly of God Church. Wynona
won the first game 13-5 and the
second game 11-6. They had a
cookout after the games and
everyone enjoyed good fellowship.
Assembly of God Church honored
their three seniors, Ken Quillin,
Jackie Moler and Tony Vulgamore
by giving them each a Bible with
their name imprinted on it.
The Assembly of God women will
have a booth, Founder’s Day, across
from Betty’s Grocery store. They
will serve iced tea, lemonade, ice
cream, cookies, brownies, fried pies
and Memorial Day flowers. They
invite everyone to come in and sit a
spell and enjoy a cool breeze.
The Young Girls of the church will
have a garage sale which includes
clothing and miscellaneous.
