The Perry community will celebrate Independence Day with a variety of events that
will begin at 6 p.m. next Thursday at the Perry Municipal Lake Park.
Thanks to the Perry Chamber of Commerce, Gary May, Tom Davis and numerous
volunteers, this year's celebration should prove to be a great experience for all who
attend. Free watermelon, entertainment and fireworks are on the agenda.
Celebrations such as this do not just happen. Funding and organization are necessary
for the event to go on as scheduled. Anyone who would like to contribute money for this
year’s fireworks display should contact Gary May, Tom Davis or the Chamber of
Commerce office.
