Fair Weather Christians
Some people are "fair weather" Christ-
ians. They believe that God will make us
healthy, wealthy, and wise. When this
doesn’t happen right away, they become dis-
illusioned and bitter. Then they say that
Christianity “doesn’t work".
These people have seriously misinterpret-
ed Christ’s message. He never promised us
worldly success. On the contrary. He said
it is difficult to reconcile worldly success and
spiritual belief. Christ promised us only
the certain knowledge of His father’s love.
For dedicated Christians this is enough. It
creates for them a happiness unknown to
"fair weather" Christians.
