PAULS VALLEY DEMOCRAT APRIL 15 1926
When the business card of a stranger is sent
into a man's office he generally inquires
"Who is he?" or "What does he want?"
That is a human quality Regardless of the
merchandise a man sells we want to know
something about him His policies His
methods Now we're going to broadcast a
little about ourselves
We learned long ago that the soundest way
to build a business was to sell dependable
merchandise People want to buy happi-
ness They want to buy something that will
serve them pleasurably Certainly not trou-
ble and irritations Our business axiom is:
Sell motoring happiness
And everything in our store from Goodrich
Savertowns to spark plugs is so depend-
able in quality that satisfaction is inevitable
You are bound to be pleased by the service
and the prices
Thank you!

ing team won the interscholastic

ties of the Oklahoma Debate
League when they defeated the
strong Ada team in the finals
last Monday night
This victory entitles Davis to
the trophy cup and becomes
eligible to compete in the state
meet at Norman April 29 30 and
May I
The Davis trio has debated on
both sides of the state question
"Resolved: That the United
States should enter into an
agreement for the mutual can-
cellation of the Inter-Allied
Debts" throughout the schedule
with a perfect record Two for-
fitures and five victories four
of which were unanimous has
entitled Davis to her debating
throne

Green and Raymond Gabel with
Mrs O E Hatcher coach

biles produced during March the
Chevrolet Motor company smash-
ed all previous monthly records
for a single month's production
of Iriodern 3-speed transmission

A new manufacturing record is
practically assured for April pro-

increased when demands from
dealers indicated sales would be
far ahead of the proposed sched-
ule The total March production
with 25 working days in the
month averaged over 2601 cars
daily and represents a total in-
crease in production over March
1925 of 23653 when 41393 cars
were manufactured
The two preceding months of
January and February also set
records In January 1926 46182

Gospel of Safe Farming
(By Bradford Knapp President
Okla Agricultural College)
1 Remember the fertility of thy
soil that thy (lays may be long on
the land which the Lord thy GGd
giveth thee
2 Take heed of thy garden and
thy cow thy sow and thy ben
that thy wife and children may
eat though all else shall fail thee
3 Put not thy trust in one crop
only upon thy farm but provide
against the evil days by produc-
ing thine own feed
4 Despise not the day of small
things Thy bread grain thine
own vegetables milk meat and
eggs are thy sure rock of safety
in time of trouble Neglect them
not upon thy farm
5 The Nvise man leaveth noth-
ing to chance but produceth for
his family its food in season and
for his livestock its food and
forage
6 The foolish man risketh all
upon one crop and great is his
sorrow and the lamentations of
his family when disaster cometh
to that crop
