died Sunday at his home
in Hollis. Services will be
at 2 p.m. Thursday at the
Dryden Cemetery Chapel

He was born July 25,
1910 in Arlie, Texas to
William Robert and
Cynthia Salina Painter
Cole. He drilled wells from
-1950 until 1980, farmed
in the Dryden Community
for 40 years and then
moved to Hollis and
worked for the county for
10 years until retirement.
He married Ruby Agnes
Young on Aug. 9, 1934.
She died Oct. 26, 1991.
He enjoyed treasure hunt-
ing and driving around
the countryside. He lived
at home and was able to
drive until the time of his
death.
He is survived by his
son Leon Cole and wife
Juanita of Hollis; two
