Mrs. Guerra was born
in Bridgeport. Texas
Jan. 29. 1919. to
Gregorio and Guadalupe
Casillas. She was mar-
ried to Guadalupe
Guerra on April 20,
1939. in Benjamin,
Texas. To this union
were born eight children:
seven sons and one
daughter. She came to
Hollis in 1954 with her
husband and family. She
was known to family and
friends as Grandma. She
made hot tamales to
help with the family
income and the older
boys sold them at the
corner of Jimmie’s Food
Market in Hollis. There
were always tortillas and
a pot of beans in
Grandma’s kitchen for
anyone who dropped by

(Browning) Britt, in
Headrick. Okla. He grew
up in Headrick and
attended and graduated
from Headrick High
School in 1947
He served one year in
the National Guard and
three years in the United
States Navy with the
45th Infantry Division in
the Korean and Vietnam
War. He lived in
Montebello. Calif. for 17
years. After being dis-
charged from the service,
he moved back to
Oklahoma and worked
various jobs before retir-
ing in 1990. On March 3.
1990. he married Viola
Glenn in Tipton. He was
a member of the Church
of Christ.
He is preceded in
death by his parents and
two brothers. Herman

He is survived by his
