My soul unshackles from life.
I dance along the moon path
Past horizon to eternity.
This week's radio announcer is Paula Lane. Listen
for Today At Altus Schools on KWHW radio at 7:25
each school morning.
Students, we've been lucky having assembly
programs at least once a week. Let's show our ap-
preciation by acting like mature, high school
students. Let's start getting into our seats more
quickly, and applaud and laughing with the program
participants, not at them.
We don't want this part of our school activity taken
away, so let's show it, and behave intelligently. After
all, assemblies are given for us, the student body.
Night comes softly to my eyes,
And the moon’s silver path
Runs before to the horizon.
Nov. 23 -Library workshop all

To a world of peace and joy
I go. A land of reward;
Of happiness is opened.
Life fades and then disappears.
I have attained everything
I desire, now I have forever.
Who goes to college and why?
This is a question asked by many
high school students.
From Altus High School 65 per
cent of the students go to college,
35 per cent go to junior college
and 30 per cent go to senior
college. Only two out of ten
graduate from senior college.
The reason for entering a
college is to study and excel in a
certain field. These fields range
from nursing to medical training
to mechanists. In the United
States there are an estimated
48,000 different jobs; 92 per cent
require a trained skill other than
a degree and only 8 per cent
require just a college degree.
In choosing a college, select
one that offers strong courses in
the fields of your special in-
terest The high school guidance
counselors are always willing to
answer any questions and help in
your selection.
