A thriving prairie dog village on
a balci prairie northwest of the little
village of Stillwater was all that
marked the spot where the state
agrieultural and mechanical college
now stands when the original act
was passed
A local church furnished class-
rooms for students at the pioneer
school while old Central building
the first college building in the state
was being construeted
Today the campus has 22 buildings
besides the stock barns and dor-
mitories The old Central building
however will be the ceder of to-
Morrow's celebration A tour of the
campus or visitors will start at the
'historic structure and end at the new-
er buildings
Pioneer legislators all of Oldaho-
Ma's forgoer governors and thousands
of visitors will have been Invited te
attend the celebration
