nesday the secret of his success
its winning the sweepstakes of
the Trans-continental air derby
run from Los Angeles to Cleve-
land Hunt whose home is at Wit-
man Okla is a friend of Scott's
and when the derby planes land-
ed at Bartlesville last Wednes-
day for a night stop the local
flier was there to meet him
Until last Wednesday Hunt
was being led in the derby by
Eldon Cessna Wichita Kam
flier
"I picked up time enough on
the lap between Abilene Tex
and Oklahoma City to pass
Cessna and lead the derby"
Scott quoted Hunt as saying 1

and by flying low I escaped
