Inspirational Program Monday
The Okemah groUp of Daughters of the American
Revolution met in regular session Monday evening in the
home of Mrs S G Ryan with Mrs John Gray regent in
charge of routine business Mrs Wilma Weehunt Mc-
Henry became a new member
The Ryan home radiated the CO'
ristmas spirit against a backgroun
of white and gold
At one end of the long mantle
was a Madonna and one low white
candle At the other end was a
large white candle in a cluster ol
styrofoam ornaments Along the
edge of the mantle were white hol-
ly Christmas lights against a back-
ground of gilded evergreens
' On the piano was a white and
gokl figurine The console table
was centered with a group of cher-
ubs on a mound of gold angles
hair Another small table held a
Madonna beside an open Bible and
was lighted by a candle made by
the hostess
During the business meeting
plans were made to continue gifts
of clothing to Bacone College in
Muskogee
Mrs S G Rogers presented the
Defense report
Mrs L J Spickard gave the
program on "The Bible" TO sp-
eaker presented a most interesting
history preceding and including the
1era during which time the beauti-
1 ful St James Version was com-
piled The review concluded with
the Story of The Birth of Christ
Mrs Ryan served a lovely re-
freshment plate reflecting the
chosen theme
