A spinning wheel scrapbooks and
a number of antiques were placed
in the rooms for conversational in-
terest and as a background for the
program Two histories of Okemah
as recorded by George D Harbi-
son and W H Dill Okemah pio-
neers were read by Mrs Dill The
one by Mr Dill was written for the
state historical society
Mrs John Davis contributed a
poem written by an early day resi-
dent of the Nuyaka Indian mission
At the close of the interesting
afternoon old fashioned refresh-
ments of floating island and pound
cake were served
