INIPEACIIMENT
The writer of this article was in Oklahoma
City during last week and of course attended
a couple of sessions of the impeachment court
now trying Henry S Johnson suspended gov-
ernor on charges found by the lower house
and transferred to the Senate where the im
peachment trial is now going on In many
ways we were inipressed with these hearings
The strange thing about the whole matter is
the fact that no ACT OF CORRUPTION
has been traced back to the governor himself
After this trial is over the one thing that will
be absolutely established is the fact that Gov-
ernor Henry S Johnson is honest such a pity
that this same thing can not be said about
many who are at this time praying that the-
Senate find him guilty and convict him of the

charge of general incompetency If he is in
competent we are finding it out at a very late
hour Henry S Johnson was a member of
the constitutional convention who wrote and
delivered to Oklahoma a constitution which
William Jannings Bryan pronounced the best
constitution ever given a citizenship for their
ratification Henry S Johnson was president
of the first State Senate under the splendid
administration of Charles N Haskell who
served us as our firbt governor and while a
member of our legislature was one of the out-
standing members who wrote into our statute
books some of the laws we refer to today
with much pride Henry S Sohnson perhaps
had as much to do with giving Oklahoma
her Initiative and Referendum law as any
other member of either house He has been
in the lime light now for twenty-one years is
regarded as one of the very best speakers the
state has produced since its entrance into the
Union has served the great Masonic Order
as its Grand Master has presided over State
conventions of the De-nocrvic party and at
this late day liE STANDS CHARGED
WITH INCOMPETENCY
The writer is made to wonder just how if
the governor is convicted we are to make
people of other states who are watching this
casr believe this incompetency stuff we don't
believe it ourselves We know that Johnson
is perhaps a larger man mentally than some
wht) have preceede him in the same offre and
who hive given us splendid administrations
consequently the people of the state have a
right to become skeptical and wonder just
what it is all about In the beginning the
beginning the people were very much uncon-
cerned about this matter but since the matter
has dragged along so long and through all of
its rigid investigation has found nothing but
small matters to build its opposition on the
people are changing They are () so much
in love with Johnson Fut h y f el ti at he

Fuel system of the new Ford
has been
designed for reliability
and long service
a
THE practical value of Ford
simplicity of design is es-
petially apparent in the fuel
system
The gasoline tank is built
1-itegra1 with the cowl and is
unusually sturdy because it
is made of heavy sheet steel
terne plated to prevent rust
or corrosion An additional
factor of strength is the fact
that it is composed ef only
two pieces instead of three
cr four and is electrically
welded—not soldered
Because of the location of
the tank the entire flow of
gasoline is an eVell natural
flow—following the ?iatural
taw of graN - Tlt:s is the
m
siplest and mot4 direct
way of supply ing gasoline to
the carburetor without vari-
ations in pressure Tile gaso
hue feed pipe of the new
Ford is only 18 inches long
and is easily accessible all
the way
The gasoline passes from
the tank to the carburetor
through a filter or sediment
bulb mounted on the steel
dash which separates the
gasoline tank from the
engine
The earbu rem r is specially
designed and has been built
to deliver many
thousands of miles
of good service 117'

Since all adjustments are

order
The choke rod on the
dash acts as a primer and
also as a regulator of your
gasoline mixture The new
hot spot manifold insures
complete vaporization of the
gasoline before it enters the
combustion chamber of the
engme
As a matter of fact the
fuel system of the new Ford
is so simple in design and
so carefully made that it
requires very little service
attention
The filter or sediment
bulb should be cleaned at
regular intervals and the
carburetor screen removed
mid wabhed in gasoline Oc-
casionally the drain plug at
the bottom of thecarburetor
should be removed and the
carburetor drained for a
few seconds
Have your Ford dealer

little details for you when
you have the car oiksl and

odic checking-up costs little
but it has a great deal to do
with long life and
