NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed proposals by registered mail through the capital sub-station
post office will be received at the office of the state highway
commission in the capitol office building until 1:30 p m Nov 18 1938
to be publicly opened and read at 2:00 p m for the work listed below
A certified or cashier's check in the amount or amounts as specified
shall be submitted with the proposal or proposals as a guarantee that
the bidder if successful will enter into contract and make bond in ac-
zordance with requirements of the specifications The check to be
made payable to the order of the State of Oklahoma Department of
Highways
This work will be done under the Oklahoma State Highway Corn-
mission's Standard Specifications for Highway Construction edition of
1954 iul under required contract provisions for work financed hi
whole or in part with federal funds or special labor provisions if financ-
ed entirely with state funds Special provisions covering items of con-
struction not covered by the standard specifications will accompany
the proposal for the work In case of any discrepancy between the
standard specifications and the special provisions the special provi-
sions incorpoiated in the proposal will govern
The minimum wage required per hour for labor employed on this
project shall be as follows: skilled one dollar - intermediate one dol-
lar - Unskilled one dollar
When Federal funds are involved the proposal will include a
special provision with reference to a non-collusion affidavit required
by Section 17 (b) of the Federal Aid Highway Act of 1954
Bidders must familiarize themselves with the conditions and must
bid with the understanding that full cooperation in carrying out the
requirements of the specifications and special provisions will be expect-
ed Proposals must be prepared as directed by the state standard
specifications
Plans forms of proposals contracts and specifications may be ex-
amined at the division engineer's office at Buffalo Oklahoma or at
the chief engineer's office Oklahoma City Plans may be secured
through the chief engineer's office at 25 cents per sheet Proposal
forms must be secured from the Previa lineation Officer Department

Bridges 0023 mile in length on SH 114 beginning 12043 miles North-
east of the Junction of SH 114 with US 64 and extending Northeast to
the Cimarron-Texas County line in Cimarron County Oklahoma

OIL AND GAS MINING LEASE SALE
Under Sealed 13Id Monday November 10 1958
SEALED BIDS: For oil and gas mining lease State forms 5-year
term 1214 royalty $100 per acre Annual Delay Rental on the
following lands will be received at the office of the Secretary of Com-
missioners of the Land Office up to 10:30 AM on date of sale All
bids received up to the hour of the sale will be opened at that time
and leases awarded to the highest bidder if bids are acceptable
BIDS: Must be in the office before 10:30 AM on date of sale
and shall be enclosed in envelope and marked "Bids for Oil and Gas
Leases" and the date of sale
IMPORTANT: Separate bid and check must be made on each
tract (Bid forms furnished on request)
TERMS OF LEASE SALE: No bid of less than $200 per acre
will be considered and all bids must be accompanied by cashier's
check in the amount of 25 of each bid If drilling contract is bid
in addition to bonus then an additional cashier's check in the
amount of $25000 must accompany bid to insure making contract
bond The successful bidder will be allowed 30 dzys from date of
award to complete his leases unless for good and sufficient reason
an extension of time be granted Failure to comply with the terms
hereof will be grounds for forfeiture of his deposit of earnest money
and cancellation of the award The State makes no warranty of title
and reserves the right to reject any and all bids
BOND: The successful bidder shall furnish surety bond on each
tease for faithful performance (Schedule of blanket bonds furnished
on request)
Lessee will assume any responsibility of the Federal Documen-
tary Stamp Statute
The successful bidder must pay the cost of advertising
