City Athletics are using a traffic radar set at spring training camp
to check the speed of their pitchers The portable Admiral Radarscope
' speed meter transmits a beam tat the speed of light —186000 miles
per second — which is reflected simultaneously from the moving ball
back to the unit The highest speed of the ball is registered in a frac-
tion of a second on a dial calibrated in miles per hour up to 100 A

lege will be dedicated on Sunday
April 23 at 3:00 pm Paul Parham
librarian has announced
The Collection numbering some
7000 volumes has been donated by
Judge R L Howsley of Guymon and
his wife the late Mrs Howsley to
whose memory the Colleci4on is being
dedicated The Collection dating
trom 1523 represents the largest
single gift ever contributed to the
Aggie library The 1523 volume is a
collection of Latin Poetry and is
believed to be in its original bind-
ing Scheduled to appear on the dedi-
cation program is Judge Wallace
G Hughes Guymon Dr George
White Guymon Judge Howsley
Marvin McKee College president
Miss Sandra Camp Goodwell and
Mr Parham
Following the dedication to be
held in the Auditorium of the McKee
Library the Collection will be on
display in thzi main reading room of

In the historical section of the No
Man's Land Historical Museum is a
horse drawn hearse donated to the
museum by Moore Funeral Home of
Gu ymon
The hearse complete with velour
curtains Vas rebuilt'in the museum's
workshop and now holds a featured
spot in the museum's historical
section It was used in Guymon in
the early 1900's
