The Keyes Home Demonstration
Club met November 22 in the
home of Mrs J V Overstreet
with Mrs M J Lignoul as co-
hostess The president Mrs D L Law-
son called the meeting to order
Mrs Herb Skinner read the eighth
chapter of Psalms Mrs E J Pell-
rendt led in singing "The Church
in the Wildwood" after which the
ladies read the "Farm Women's
Creed" and prayer
Mrs Gene Livingston assisted
by Mrs V C Wilson and Mrs E
J Behrendt presented the lesson
on "Family Mending"-
Miss Louise Webb demonstrated
square patches with overhand
patches on right side with mach-
ine stitching and with woven
stitches also darning on wool with
net lining on crepe with taffeta
living and stab stitch or renter-
jog stitch to hide a seam
Delicious refreshments of press-
ed chicken sandwiches cookies
coffee were served to 15 members
and 10 children
The members enjoyed a bount-
eous club supper November 18 at
the Keyes Gun -Club building with

order the group sang one song
then repeated the creed and open-
ing prayer

help of Mrs Bessie Howell and
Mrs Irene Isom gave the lesson
on family mending Each mem-
ber answered roll call by naming
a mending problem
In the business session the club
voted to take turns with other
clubs serving at the Felt basket
ball games
Organizing a P-TA was also
discussed and a committee was
appointed to see if the community
felt it Nvold be worthwhile to start
such an organization
Plans were made for the Christ-
mas party in December An ex-
change of gifts will be made dur-
ing the party
Projects the club will undertake
for the coming year were discuss-
ed Mrs Foreman served refresh-
ments of punch and cookies to the
