The regular annual meeting of
the membership of the Chamber
of Commerce will be held Decem-
ber 20 at night probably in a
down town store building At
this meeting five members of the
board of directors will be elected
for a two year period The ac
tivies of the present year will be
reviewed and the reports of the
officers including that of the
President Secretary and Treas-
urer It is hoped that every member
- will be there hear the reports
help make the plans for another
year and help the new board
members This is both a privil-
ege and a duty that every one
should take part in You will be
notified of the place and hour
and only the most urgent other
duties should be allowed to inter-
fere with your attending this
meeting
If you are not an active mem-
ber you are welcome to come and
we hope you will Elsewhere is
a list of the active members of
the Chamber If your name or
firm is not in this list we wbuld
like for you to come join with
us in the effort to put our com-
munity forward and make it a
better place in which to live
That's all we are trying to do but
that's enough and it's a big job
You are needed along with the
rest and we hope that a lot of
good people who have not taken
an active part in the work this
year will do so next year

girls were competing in the judg-
ing contest
Fred Foter of Liberty won
first on his Silver Laced Wyan-
dotte cockerel Raymond Mur-
ray won 4th on a White Leghorn
Cockerel and Oather Hamilton
won 4th on a Barred Rock Cock-
erel 600 birds were in the
Junior Show
Miss Elizabeth Stern and Clar-
ence Ammons were married in
Pau Is Valley Saturday evening
by Rev Mitchell They were ac-
companied by the bride's mother
Mrs Joe Stern The groom is
the son of Mr and Mrs Geo
Ammons and is employed by the

At Daughter's Home
The funeral of J W Duncan
who passed away Tuesday night
at 11:30 at the home of his
daughter Mrs Geo Livingston
was held frbm the Christian
church Wednesday afternoon at
3 o'clock with Rev George of
Pauls Valley in charge of the ser-
vices Deceased was 84 years
4 months and 2 days old He
leaves three children Mrs Geo
Livingston and Mrs Tom Living-
ston of this city and J W Dun-
can of Paula Valley and a num-
ber of grand-children He had
been a member of the Christian
church for many years Sym-
pathy is extended to the bereaved
family
