Junior-Senior News
In Typing I we are doing daily
production work This week we
must be able to complete jive
pages satis-actorily seach day in
class for a "A" four pages for a
"B" etc This type of work will
increase both our accuracy and
speed It really makes 3is work
hard the whole hour to earn an
"A" grade for the day and only
a few have accomplished it
The juniors are anxiously
awaiting for their class rings
which should be here in about
three weeks
Everyone received their report
cards Wednesday
We had a lot of fun Monday
when our school picture arrived
On the whole they were good
The girls basketball team play-
ed Byng here Tuesday night and
on Friday night both teams play

Everyone is glad that our nine
weeksc tests are over and was
hoping to see good grades on our
report cards when we received
them Wednesday
We all enjoyed the Halloween
party last Friday The grade
school dressed up and the high
school tried -so guess who they
were
We also enjoyed the boys bas-
ketball festival Friday

We are beginning a new nine
weeks period We have resolved
to study a little harder after see-
ing our report cards
Our pictures came this week
We took them home for our par-
ents to examine them before we
bought them
The fifth grade are beginning to
divide by two digits The sixth
grade made cut-out circles of
paper From this they cut them
into halves) fourths thirds sixths
etc This will give us a picture
of fractional parts1
There were three absent Mon-
day because of illness They' were
Marquitta Cross Wyonette Ald-
ridge and Terry Edwards
We had two boglins that were
not guessed in the Halloween pa-
rade They were Glen Morris
and Donnie Keck

We have been lousy correcting
our test papers Some made good
grades and some where not so
good
We are looking forward to fix-
ing our room for Thanksgiving
The fourth grade pupils are
about to master long division
We are sorry Linda Ince is ill
and hope she will soon be back in
school

perfect attendance and only ten

brate her sixth birthday October

Gary Johnson brought us a
nice big pumpkin for a Jack o'
lantern We made the transfor-
mation on the teacher's desk
while the children looked on You
may be sure there were plenty of
"Squeals" He also caused a lot
of attention from other rooms
We want to thank the good
Halloween Fairy for the treat of
candy bars on Friday We think
Mr Van and Mr Douglas had
something to do with it
